My thoughts: It is relatively easy-relatively-to get my hands on board books to review. Little hands and little mouths can rejoice. It is very much typical Cousins' artwork: bright, bold, colorful. We are delighted to take these off the shelf and read them after finishing a phonics lesson or moving on from a Bob Book choice. Much like the wonderful early readers that feature our beloved Biscuit these little readers are short and sweet with simple sentences and small words. These are so far the best beginning readers in the Phonics Fun choices that I have seen so far. Using subjects that the early reader is familiar with can make this activity all the more fun. While these are the same size and similar looking to Bob Books these are not the same and not a replacement, however I think they can be a fun add on and reinforcement.
